PUNE REGION also joins the INDEFINITE STRIKE

Sir/ Ma’am                                                                                                    08/02/2013
We ,may, all, be aware that all the 31 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas of Orissa have been on Indefinite strike since 6 february 2013 , 25 out of 27 JNVs in Karnataka,  AP,  Lucknow Region etc and many Vidyalayas in almost all Regions have joined this struggle.. Don’t you think that Pune Region should also join other Regions in this Indefinite Strike when there are other points of demands other than Pensions in this Indefinite strike. The only request to JAC Members and the AINVSA CEC members is that they should not withdraw the STRIKE unless and until all demands are met… Because we won’t be going on this sort of Indefinite Strike now and then. Its seems now or never….
It is not necessary that someone should take the lead and we strangling them if something goes wrong.  Its your feeling that counts, when the points of demands are Staff welfare, we should also strengthen this STRIKE. If we are joining we should also convince our Principals to make the students go home for safety and security of the students. The Strike should be in a peaceful manner, no coercions… only persuasions. Cajole other neighbouring JNVs too. Give assurance to the Principals and Vice Principals that other Strike would follow if stern actions are taken against  them or against us for our genuine demands. Take reports from other Vidyalays and apprise every non joined JNVs of the statistical data of other Regions. Log on to www.ainvsa.blogspot.com, www.ainvsa.com, www.ainvsa.webs.com  etc for continuous reports on this ongoing strike. No single individual can protect us except unity. Shed all the differences and join this strike sooner or later. Better late than Never. Let the authorities do whats in their official procedure and capacity, provided it is constitutional and as per  the Strike Protocols of the Industrial Disputes Act 1947.
Leaders  , our Principals and Vice Principals, don’t worry. IF YOU FIGHT FOR EVERYONER, EVERYONE WILL FIGHT FOR YOU. Be with us and we will be with you..
Please find enclosed herewith the format for Strike NOTICE entitled  Strike Notice by jnvs in Pdf format. Change the date and the addressee as needed ----The Collector/District Magistrate,  The Principal and The Deputy  Commissioner(through the Principal)---- and send it  immediately to all the three immediate superiors and controlling authorities mutatis mutandis., apart from sending to the Commissioner  and the officials  of HRD Ministry  mentioned therein … if your unit is willing to join the INDEFINITE STRIKE . Take maximum Media coverage and Political persons and other State Teachers Union’s  sympathy as back support.
The AINVSA CEC (T.P.MANI) letters to that effect is appended as well for your perusal and guidance.
Thanking you
Yours faithfully

The staff of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mundali, Cuttack have taken mass Casual Leave on 24th January 2013 and sat on a day long DHARANA infront of the school building in response to the call given by the joint Action Committee of Service Association of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (AINVSA).

This activity is a protest against the policy of discrimination of Govt. of India to the employees of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. The employees of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti are discharging unique residential duties but are deprived of CCS Pension Scheme and financial benefits.

They demanded that it is high time that the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti pays attention to the welfare of the staff and honour their hard labour. The employees may go on indefinite strike from 6th February 2013 onwards if their genuine demands are not fulfilled.

The indefinite strike call given by the staff of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Mundali, Cuttack and other Navodaya Vidyalayas of Odisha in support of their pension and other demands reached its third day with no sign of any solution till date.

The deputy commissioner of NVS, Bhopal region, Mr M Kalim has requested all the staff to withdraw from the strike in the best interest of the students, failing which, departmental action will be taken against them.

The staff representatives of all the Navodaya Vidyalayas are also planning to meet the Governor of Odisha to submit a memorandum in support of their demands. The union leaders have also met the union fertilizer minister Mr Srikant Jena and apprised him their legitimate demands. Meanwhile the teachers of Navodaya Vidyalaya have decided to boycott their duties in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Seclection Test (JNVST) 2013 which is scheduled to be held on 10th feb 2013. The boycott of the exam will severely hamper the examination process and affect the future of thousands of meritorious students in the state.

The staff of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mundali, Cuttack are on indefinite strike from 6th Feb 2013 onwards till their genuine demands for CCS pension scheme 1972 is fulfilled.

The strike is in protest against the injustice of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti in depriving them from CCS pension scheme 1972. The teaching learning process is severely affected and the worst hit is the students of class 10th and 12th, who are going to appear in the CBSE board exam from March, 2013.
