Sir
Sub:-Post pone appointment of PGTs on direct recruitment basis.request regarding.
                                                   ***************
This is to appeal to you to postpone/stop filling the vacant PGT posts in various subjects through direct recruitment. We believe that tThe Samiti has taken up the recruitment of PGTs on direct basis ignoring the interests of the in-service employees. It has also violated its own recruitment rules as regards promotion of in-service teachers. As a result hundreds of teachers have been languishing without promotional chances for decades. The English and Hindi language teachers are the worst victims of the absence of Samiti’s serious concern for their timely promotion. The AINVSA brought to your notice many a time the whimsical attitude of the Samiti towards offering promotional chances of the in-service TGTs.  This is clear from the way it put a damper on the limited departmental tests for promotion of TGTs. The fact that no departmental test has been conducted in the last four years is a clear testimony of the state of the affairs.
The AINVSA appeals to you once again to stop the recruitment of the PGTs on the following grounds:
1.       The recruitment of PGTs on direct basis may be taken only after safeguarding the interests of the in-service teachers. The hundreds of teachers who have been denied of a chance for quick promotion must be promoted without further delay. The Samiti should safeguard the ratio of promotion of TGTs against the direct recruiters as per its own recruitment rules. The injustice done to in-service teachers should be looked into without wasting time.

2.       The teachers who have successfully cleared the limited departmental test but did not avail the promotion for personal reasons should be provided one more opportunity.

3.       All the PGT vacancies that should be filled by promoting the in-service Hindi and English TGTs  must be filled in a time-bound manner by setting up fast-track promotional avenues.

4.       The conduct of limited departmental test should be abandoned as the Samiti is unable to conduct the tests directly and, as a result, it has inadvertently affected the promotional chances of the aspiring TGTs instead of providing them with promotional chances at regular intervals. Lots of meritorious teachers felt disheartened as it has created more hurdles in the way of their promotion.

5.        The vacancies of PGTs should be filled after the promotion of in-service teachers and regular counselling session for transfer of employees. The vacancies should not be filled up with new direct recruiters, ignoring the agony of teachers who have been working far away from their native states for years. As no transfers are taken up this year, the number of teachers waiting for their due promotion has only increased.
We request you once again to resolve the problem of promoting in-service teachers as per the recruitment policies and then only go ahead with the limited direct recruitment. It is high time to do undo the injustice.
Thanking you sir
Yours sincerely
JAGDISH RAI                                                                                                  L.B.REDDY
