CIRCULAR REGARDING POSTPONEMENT
OF MASS C.L TO 24-01-2013
&SMS REG.
To
Dear Friends,
1. The JAC has decided
to postpone the MASS CASUAL LEAVE agitation scheduled for 17th January 2013 to 24th
January in view of the clash of the date with the pongal and winter vacation
and reopening of the vidyalayas in some South and North Indian states. Kindly
do not see this as a retreating step. The postponement is purely because of the
clash of the date with the reopening of many vidyalyas which are now closed on
account of winter vacation.
The change in the date has
already been communicated to the Hon’ble Commissioner and we attach the same
letter herewith for your reference.
2. The JAC appeals to
all the vidyalayas not to be sceptical about the success of the call and its
result. It requests you to remain united and single-minded and ignore the calls
of pessimistic people who shy away from agitation on petty grounds. The
collective strength of the NVS employees against the undemocratic and
autocratic attitude of the management will certainly shake the indifferent
attitude of the Samiti. We remind you that the benefits we have achieved so far
are the result of our past direct and indirect fight against the Samiti. We
have not won anything because of the sheer benevolent attitude of the
management. We can never bring about changes in our system without agitations.
3. The issues like
recognition to the unions, representation in high level decision making, MACPS
benefits, 10% special allowance to non-teaching and enhancement of other
benefits, promotion of TGTs, implementation of a rational transfer policy,
creation of PGT posts in regional languages, providing health insurance are no
small. In the past the Samiti has taken decades to enhance HM allowance
marginally. Since we have not fought at the right time we have been deprived of
many benefits. Since we are not united and single-minded we have been forced to
work like labourers without self-respect.
We have silently borne many insults.
4. It is time to prove
that we do not tolerate the humiliation and unjust treatment in the name of
better academic results year after year. We have been subjected to such
exploitation that is inhuman and irrational in a truly democratic system. The
Navodaya employees who work so industriously and mould the future citizens of
our country deserve a better treatment.
Believe in yourself. Join hands
and fight to achieve your just demands. Let us strongly assert our
self-respect. Break the shackles of pessimism and skepticism .The following SMS
should be sent to Commissioner& all JCs.
”Sir, we are going
on mass casual leave on 24th January. Address our genuine demands.
Strengthen NVS system.”
Yours in struggle
